There is a new drug that Dr. Brandabur said Joe can use if Remicade
stops working. It is a drug that has been used mainly on MS called
Tysabri . As the doctor put it " We now have another horse in the
barn." In addition he wants Joe to get a bone density test. Joe
started to ask questions about it and then stopped saying he didn't
need to know. Dr Brandabur then said " You might not want to know but
Elsa will want to." I like the fact that he is so dead on.
We started to paint Dahlia’s room this week. The girls had to get into
the action. I thought they would get bored quickly but they almost
finished this entire wall. They kept pretending it was strawberry yogurt they were putting on the walls. I am not completely insane… this wall
will have be covered by her bunk beds.
This weekend I started adding the Eiffel Tower to Monti's wall. While
I was painting she came in and asked " When are you going to paint the
croissant stand? "
There were about 10 little girls from Dahlia’s preschool getting their hair, nails and makeup done. The stylists weren’t sure how to handle Dahlia’s hair. Most of the girls had long straight hair. Dahlia loved the part of the party where she was able to select a stuffed animal to take home. In addition she also had a chance to chose a collar, bag and shirt for the animal. She came home with a stylin pink kitty named Montserrat Volcano.
Dahlia beams after her makeover at a Libby Lu birthday party. Our streak of birthday parties finally came to an end today. We have had 6 parties over the last 3 weekends.
Monti and Dahlia are sitting by Solomon and Captiva, our next door neighbors. We were at Captiva’s birthday party.
You can check the kids into a play center for an hour while you shop. Dahlia begged to do it. She had a great time in the germ infested balls.
We had lunch at Ikea which was listed on the sign off the highway as a
tourist attraction. We didn’t have the Swedish meatballs but we had some good Swedish almond cake.
The school Variety Show was earlier this year but I just received the DVD of the performance yesterday so without further ado …. Ladies and Gentlemen… Boys and Girls… singing Castle on a Cloud from Les Miserables… Miss Monti Fleck….
