A group of kids from school will be singing “Danny Boy” for the multicultural night at our school. They had their first practice at the coffee shop with a gelato treat afterwards.

They handed out Golden Acorn awards to a handful of people at our school including my friend Leah during the Tuesday night PTA meeting. She puts so much time and energy into all her school projects. Congratulations!

St Patrick’s Day
Naughty little leprechauns possessed my sweet Dahlia on St Patrick’s Day. She was so mad as Monti and I sang Danny Boy in the car. The huge fit started when I would not buy her a slice of pizza because we had dinner ready at home.

Monti set up the upstairs hall to be like a photo studio. She had paint cans for some of us to sit on. She was emulating the Disney Cruise photographer’s setup. She took about 20 pictures and I swear my Dad looks like he has his eyes closed in every one of them.

For Monti's science fair project she will see if it is possible to train a hamster to use a litter box. We added the corner litter box to the cage today. We can't wait to see if she will use it or not.

Moonrise
While my mom was in town we would sit in the hot tub at night waiting for the moon to rise. We had no idea that the moon rise differed so much each night. One night we sat in the hot tub over two hours thinking the moon would rise any moment.

Taking my Dad skiing
My dad and I snuck off for the slopes as soon as I dropped the kids off at the bus stop. It was nearly a bluebird day up at the summit. In skiing lingo a bluebird day is a beautiful sunny day after an overnight snowfall. I am trying to learn all the skiing lingo…
