Monti and Dahlia with their cousin Gwendolyn plus Amanda and Andrew,
my cousin Christine's 2 children.

We went to see Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory at the Chicago
Shakespeare Theater. They did a great job handling the chocolate
factory with their stage effects.

Dahlia, after a full day of playing outside, discovered she couldn't
bring her bike on the plane with her back to Seattle. She then
proceeded to throw a fit and told me she was leaving the family. I
convinced her to let me pack a bag for her at home before she started
walking away. Once we were home we finally calmed her down when my mom
told her she could stay with her bike in Elmhurst. I have lost my
daughter to a bike.

We paid $3 for a baker's dozen. The farmer was telling us how someone
kept stealing his money so he had to build a super secure lock box for
his corn stand (the red post contraption in the pict). Dahlia after a
day of driving through the farm roads kept saying she was "corn sick".
She also created a very interesting song called " I hate corn." Ask
her to sing it for you sometime.

Monti refused to cooperate with the photo shoot in the flowers. She
was terrified that she would get picked up by the cops for being
someplace she didn't belong. She is an absolute nervous wreck at times.
