Cardio theater
At our gym they have a room set up as a cardio theater. There have
approximately 35 different machines in a dark room with surround
sound. They have a different movie on repeat play each day. It is a
nice idea but who does a 2 hour cardio workout. We watched a half-hour
of Failure to Launch the other day. I will never know if Matthew
McConaughey moves out of his parents house. -
Amazon Fresh – groceries to the house
I tried out Amazon Fresh to order groceries. They recently expanded
their Seattle delivery service to cover Issaquah. You can make a
grocery order up until midnight and have it delivered to your door by
6 am. If you order $25 or more the delivery is free. I ordered a
variety of things to see how they did. The frozen items were packed in
a cooler with dry ice. The refrigerator items are kept in an insulated
foil bag. The produce I ordered looked good. The avocados were my big
test and I haven't used them yet to see what they are like inside. All
packaging items are sent back with my next order to be reused or
recycled. They have a nice organic selection of food and their prices
are reasonable. I will especially enjoy using the service when I want
something fast like milk or bread for lunches. It also has a good
selection of organic cake mixes which guarantees they will have no
partially hydrogenated oils in them. -
Local rooster at Staples
This little guy has been hanging out for years in the parking lot at
the Issaquah Staples. Today we made a special stop to see him. The
kids have named him Doodle. -
New birthday outfits
Aunt Maggie whipped Monti up a birthday dress out of some material from her Universal Studio catering days. Monti was thrilled with the finished product. She wears it well.
She models an outfit she received from her Grandma Tick Tock. She is pure rocker.

Happy Birthday Monti!
For Monti's birthday she wanted to do chinese food with some ice cream
after it. Our waiter surprised her with a birthday fortune cookie. The
waiter told us he was a brand new dad of a little girl. He was just
beaming. I remember that proud new parent feeling well. How fast our
babies grow. -
Trip to India
The girls asked me to take their picture on the elephant so I could
add it to my blog saying we went to India. -
Sushi with Maggie
Maggie had a short list of places she wanted to visit while in
Seattle. One of those was a sushi place in Freemont called Blue C. The
girls liked it because of the conveyer belt selection of food. They
just waited at the table for something vegetarian to pass by and then
they would grab it. Monti's patience wore out when after 30 minutes
not one "Tokyo Sweet" was replenished on the conveyor. She asked the
chef to bring out some Tokyo pastry puffs for them to eat with their
child sized chopsticks.
