What the heck is Bunco?
I was invited to sub in for one of the ladies in a neighborhood Bunco group. My first question was ….What is Bunco? It ends up just being a game of pure luck where you roll three dice trying to get a specific number. You get a Bunco or 21 points when all three of your dice show the desired number. It is really just an excuse for women to get together to drink, eat and talk. I usually like some strategy in my games but I can’t imagine getting a group of women to focus on much more than rolling dice. Talking was priority one.

My Trophy
My friends gave me my “oscar-ish” award at the premiere party for my work on the school variety show. The girls thought it was the greatest thing. They hugged me tightly and were beaming with pride. To them it was if I had really won a legitimate award. The next day they worked on finding a prominent spot in the house to display my trophy.

Premiere party
I decided to host a party where all the people involved with the variety show could share in the final unveiling of the 2009 Show DVD. We had a full house so we had to set up a large screen and projector in the family room to accommodate everyone. We put out a red carpet in front of the house and had everyone pose for photos once they came into the house. It was nice to put our large family room to use.

Valentine’s day party
Both kids missed their Valentine’s Day parties at school on Friday so I
was happy when Lesa and my mom decided to have a party. The dinner
menu included any red fruit we could find, heart shaped grilled cheese
sandwiches and tomato soup. The beautiful roses were compliments of Joe.
