We found out that if you don’t tip the doorman after he opens your
door for you he will tell the taxi driver the wrong location to go to.
At first we thought the idea was a little far fetched because the
passengers would hear the wrong location being given. Later that
evening we learned by experience how they do it. Our taxi driver took
us to Palms Place instead of The Palms costing us several extra
dollars in back tracking. I can’t help but feel this mistake was a
perfect example of the subtle way doormen express their disappointment
in not getting a tip.
